The Importance of Three Worlds

Our friend here is working on three planes of existence. His spirit world depicts Peony flowers in bloom on a full moon evening. Because his mental world is related by an inversion the moon changes position from left side of the paper to the right side. In addition the scene has been translated to depict a winter scene of plum blossoms. The ability to translate information between worlds is an important skill. It is up to us to develop that innate ability in all of us,. Toward the physical world, where we strive to be the land of paradise, our artist has decided his two higher worlds have conjured a dog.

We go about not realizing that we act upon, or should act upon three planes of existence. Early work on the mind led to the concept that information from three sources was necessary to determine any event. The names for these sources vary from person to person. Some examples of names are 1 ( Divine, Human, Physical ), 2 ( Spirit, Soul, Body ), 3 ( Active, Passive, Equilibration ), 4 ( Providence, Destiny, Will), 5 ( Creation, Preservation, Neutralization). Despite the pervasive appearance of a trinity our thoughts involve four parts. These include will, inspiration, intellect, and materialization. The combination of these laws of 3 and laws of 4 in the science of thought must lead to observations in nature in order for these laws to be taken seriously.  The concept of this can be shown to explain why we must have 12 zodiac constellations and why the the base 10 number system exists. As a consequence of having a three variable component to a final outcome implies that thinking works in four dimensions. The imposition of a law of 4 in turn implies higher dimensions of 5 and even more. Advanced work in neuroscience and robotics is only beginning to explore this area of hermetic science. The figure above is our attempt at explaining how we may model how the mind arrives at its decisions based on the sampling these three worlds. The study of how art can be used to move about these worlds has not begun. Early work in four dimensional space prompted color models of cubes to create models of four dimensional cubes. This shows by color and shadow it is possible to provide entry into a four dimensional world by meditating upon a two dimensional image.

The design of the Tarot card number 20 (Major arcana) is interesting for the image contains a four dimensional sphere. The sphere in this particular version involves combining the wings with the clouds to form one object.

Another version of the design. This version shows the completed circle. The union of the angel with the cloud form the four dimensional circle. Ouspensky in his book, the Tertium Organium, speaks of the four dimensional sphere on page 105. The intended art work on this image is to show a transfer from three dimensions to four dimensions.

The figure above is a four dimensional sphere. This is also called incorrectly a hypersphere. The shading on the surface is crucial to obtain the sensation of a fourth dimension. The ability to learn how to view the tarot key 20 can be practiced by observing how the shading would move. In the case of the tarot the cloud pattern must rotate. The pictures of four dimensional objects must have movement as the higher worlds are not static. There movements contribute to the observed phenomena in nature and supernature. The image in from Tertium Organum chapter 9. The work of Van Manen offers a technique to observe higher dimensions. This is recorded in his article Some Occult Experiences for the Theosophist magazine in 1913, May p249, June p389, and July p581.

The three figures below are drawn as three dimensional representations. Yet the square parallelogram emphasizes three dimensional world at the bottom of the image. The four dimensional image in the sky emphasizes a different world and hence a different world of judging.

will is determined by three worlds. These include the worlds of spirit, mental, and the physical.

Divine inspiration manifests on three worlds.

Intellect requires action on three worlds.

Materialism, and organization must first conquer three worlds.

We take it for granted but the ability for us to arrive at a decision involves a definite route over lands not observed by the physical senses. When considering our ability to repeat what we hear from verbatim we discovery our thoughts add to what we hear and even shift the original meaning. We interpret quite differently. Aspects of higher self make a contribution. You will find yourself actually contributing and creating to what you heard. The ability to focus only on what was heard and repeat that back requires conscious effort at first to train yourself.

Suppose we have an unwanted complement of emotions. This can be fear and anxiety. The use of images and deep breathing exercises have a tremendous impact.
